Electrostatic HOCL Fogging Services

1. Does the treatment get rid of COVID-19?

HOCL kills the virus that causes COVID, the SARS CoV-2. HOCL also kills other viruses, bacteria and spores. Some of the most commonly known are: SARS-CoV2 (Virus that causes COVID-19), Staphylococus Aureus (Staph), Streptococcus Pyogenes (Strept), Influenza A (H1N1), Escheria Coli (E-Coli), Adenovirus and Candida Albicans (Yeast Infection causing Fungus).

2. Is HOCL harmful to my family and pets?

HOCL is an endogenous substance to us all (all mammals and birds) and is part of the make up of our white blood cells which fight infection as it is introduced to the body. HOCL is safe for all mammals. HOCL can be toxic to fish. All tanks should be covered during the service and remain covered for an hour afterward.

3. What is the process for the electrostatic fogging/cleaning?

Our technician will arrive and need to enter your Tidewater, Hampton Roads, or Southside Virginia home to begin the process. Identify any rooms you may not want directly treated. The treatment for a 3000sqft home takes approximately 20-30 minutes or less. Everyone except the technician should plan to be outside the home during the treatment. Once the treatment has been completed you will need to stay outside of the home for 10 additional minutes.

4. What are the benefits of fogging with HOCL?

It is safe for those with respiratory conditions, unlike bleach or ammonia. It destroys a wide range of bacteria, viruses, spores and fungus. It is relatively inexpensive. It makes the air in your home or office smell fresher and cleaner.

5. How long is the treatment good for?

The treatment works as a starting point. Viruses and bacteria will be destroyed once the service is complete but it is up to the customer to maintain the surfaces as well as personal hygiene ie. handwashing. Once the treated surfaces are exposed to contact from humans it is has the potential to be contamined.

6. How often should I have the Electrostatic HOCL treatment performed in my home or business?

We recommend a treatment once per month. However, it can be scheduled with us as often as weekly. We also offer quarterly and one time services.

7. Why are you using a fogger rather than a cleaning cloth to administer the HOCL?

A fogger takes the HOCL solution and creates a fine mist of nanobubbles. As the solution leaves the fogger it is given a charge. These charged solution particles are attracted to surfaces and wrap around them rather than each particle laying on top of one another. Fogging eliminates the solution from pooling and soaking. There is no need for rinsing.

8. What should I do to prepare my home or office for the service?

No prep work is required EXCEPT to cover your fish tank. However, if you are trying to decide whether you should do your general household cleaning before or after the service, we recommend cleaning prior to the service rather than immediately after. The HOCL cuts through biofilm left by many household cleaners such as bleach and ammonia based cleaners. This is why we refer to our treatment as a “Deep Cleaning Service.”

9. Will I need to wipe the surfaces after the service?

The surfaces do not need to be wiped or rinsed afterward. The nanobubble mist is very fine and dries within 2-3 minutes. Once dry it isn’t seen on surfaces. The solution is safe to mammals and birds.

10. Will the Electrostatic HOCL treatment make my house smell like chemicals?

The solution itself acts as air neutralizer. It doesn’t have a strong chemical odor. The treatment actually helps eliminate stale, musty smells as well as odors from pets and cigarette smoke. Bacteria, fungus and mildew go through a process called “Fruiting” where they release smells marking their territory much like a rose bush or an apple tree. However, the smells left by bacteria, fungus and mildew don’t smell as sweet.

11. Will the treatment cause my allergies to flare up?

The HOCL cleaning treatment may actually help those with allergies find relief as it breaks down the particles that could be triggering your allergic tendencies in the air as well as on surfaces. Killing the bacteria and fungus is part of the “Deep Cleaning” process involved with each service. You may notice it is easier to cope with allergies once the service has been completed.
